Here’s what happened: over the last two days, there was an encounter in Kulgam district yesterday, and today terrorists attacked an army camp. Yesterday’s encounter in Kulgam resulted in our forces eliminating four terrorists, but unfortunately, we lost two soldiers. This seems to be a retaliation for the previous day’s events.
It has been reported that a significant number of terrorists, estimated between 100 to 150, have infiltrated into India and are operating in groups of three to five across various districts. Their primary target appears to be Jammu, likely due to the ongoing pilgrimage season, which draws large crowds to the Vaishno Devi temple.
All the terrorists are reportedly from Pakistan, as identified by the materials found on those previously eliminated. This raises serious questions about our internal security. How are these terrorists infiltrating and operating within our borders?
In today’s attack, they targeted an army camp in Rajouri district. Our soldiers bravely retaliated, but one of them was seriously injured. In yesterday’s Kulgam encounter, our forces killed four terrorists, but we lost two more soldiers.
This is a significant intelligence failure. The Inspector General of Police in Jammu and Kashmir, V.K. Singh, mentioned that local support helped in obtaining information, and the forces acted accordingly. However, the terrorists seemed well-prepared and possibly had prior information about the movements of our forces, suggesting they might be tracking our operations closely.
In the past few days, there have been multiple attacks, and questions arise regarding the claims that terrorism has been eradicated from Kashmir. Recent attacks in various districts, such as Rajouri, Poonch, Kulgam, Reasi, Doda, and Kathua, indicate otherwise. These districts have experienced frequent terrorist activities.
The latest attack in Rajouri was a targeted one on an army camp. Although the terrorists have fled, a search operation is underway, and the area has been sealed. It’s expected that the terrorists will be neutralized soon.
This situation highlights a significant issue with our intelligence capabilities. Despite the efforts of our forces, there seems to be a lapse in detecting and preventing these infiltrations and movements of terrorists. This not only questions our internal security but also demands a strong response to Pakistan, from where these terrorists are infiltrating.
In conclusion, the repeated attacks over the past months indicate a serious threat to India’s internal security, and urgent measures are needed to address this issue.
